475 Kent Ave

~ home sweet home ~

I love these photographs of our former apartment building, 475 Kent Avenue in Brooklyn, by French photographer Gabriel Abrial . We moved out of this building when David had his AVM (six years ago today).

...and the night was on fire

the end of an era

i had to clean up the mess. the little seedpods were floating all over the place. so i'll leave with some pictures.

this is when it started to rain. you can hardly tell, but there was hail, thunder and lightning, and 70 mph wind

oh no....

i recently picked these beautiful wildflowers, with purple flowers and thorns everywhere. and when i say everywhere i mean millimeter had thistles on it. i had to wrap them up in my sweatshirt just to get them home. and i got about one block and the thorns started poking out. so needless to say, i had a lot of cuts on my hand. they lasted about a week and then they just died like normal flowers do. and i just haven't take them down because i like thorny things (rebecca's influence). and then today i had the shade down most of the day and when i opened it i was in for a surprise. it had transform into the marvelous floaty little seed pods. something dangerous into something light and fluffy, ying and yang if you will. i'm gonna leave them there until they get to unruly for me to handle, or maybe i'll put the shade down and be surprised.

the new phonebooks are here!!! the new phonebooks are here!!!!!!

about a month ago, a professional photographer came in and shot the fashion department garments. i was lucky enough to find my self in that mix. and finally, after much running around between myself and my two professors, we got our hands on them. and they look absolutely gorgeous, if i don't say so myself.

for those of you who are interested in my process, as too how i got here. just let my know. i would think that the garment does a better job of speaking then i would ever do.

Red Hook

red hook was freezing cold last friday when i took my mom and some of her friends on a tour of brooklyn. this is such a great vista it even looks good in cel-phone pictures. here we are facing north east with the gigantic ikea behind me. another new favorite spot is a little park facing west just down the street next to the fairway.

JJJJound - the best blogs have no text

I wish that I had the gall that JJJJound does to post inspiring pictures without text and credits, stating simply:
The photos will be random.
No text either.
Just great photos.
(BTW, this is going to be your favorite blog)
indeed! I may well follow suit because the pressure to have correct links and have something to say usually prevents me from posting. This is aphasia design after all...
